Worship
9:00 am Every Sunday – Worship & Holy Communion in the Lutheran Tradition
We gather. We hear God’s Word. We are fed with Christ’s Presence. We are blessed and sent by God into the World to be a blessing to others.
In our sanctuary every Sunday, we celebrate God’s presence with us and for us and others, through singing, praying, hearing scripture and the good news of Jesus (the Gospel) proclaimed. We experience Christ’s loving presence and God’s grace and acceptance in bread and wine every Sunday in the Eucharist/Holy Communion, and in being reminded we are beloved children of God, baptized and liberated in Christ.
We have a traditional choir that sings a special anthem every Sunday. And we have a bell choir that plays music on church festival days, such as Palm Sunday, Easter, Pentecost, and Christmas Eve.
Our Lutheran liturgy and order of worship follow the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal book of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). To keep worship engaging, we sometimes use music and liturgical elements from other Christian traditions and other Lutheran hymn books.
